TILE FOR WALLS & FLOORING

Numerous floor tile sizes and shapes are available in ceramic (glazed or unglazed), porcelain, quarried stone (granite, marble, travertine, limestone, slate), saltillo, terracotta, and mosaics to create the tile flooring look and feel you’ll enjoy for years to come. Tile can captivate any room of the house, not just the kitchen or bath. You even have the option of putting tile in the bedroom. Choose from a wide selection of options including:

  • Glass Tile
  • Stone Tile
  • Porcelain Tile
  • Ceramic Tile
  • Cement Tile

WALL TILE VS. FLOOR TILE

Wall tile and floor tile are generally two very different things, as different tiles are designed for different degrees of foot traffic. Wall tiles have a lower Porcelain Enamel Institute (PEI) rating, making them either completely unsuitable for foot traffic, or in rooms with very little traffic. Generally speaking, any floor tile can be used as a wall tile, but wall tiles are not designed to withstand regular footfall.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN INDOOR AND OUTDOOR TILES

Choosing the wrong tile for your home may lead to corrosion or damage, so avoid it by learning the difference between indoor and outdoor tiles. Indoor tiles are durable, but not meant to withstand conditions like frost or excessive sunlight. Outdoor tiles have a surface texture that helps to resist slips, which may accumulate more dirt and require more maintenance. Outdoor tiles also have a more rugged appearance because they withstand wear and tear better.
